Street Taco Tostadas
I was really wanting some street tacos. Then accidently over cooked the corn tortillas and boom! The Street Taco Tostada was born. Its lighter on the tummy than your average tostada and absolutely scrumptious! There are limitless ways to make this dish please everybody's taste buds!
These are a great party dish. Its super affordable and you can set it up buffet style! Its something that can go a long way and allow everyone to eat something they like with out having to make multiple main dishes. For a little time saving hack, you can buy tostada tortillas already fried up. They are usually by the regular and uncooked corn tortillas. They look like giant chips! You could also use the street taco flour tortillas as well, or BOTH!
It's always important to start things off on the right foot. So, our first step is to make sure that you have the ingredients you need. Here is a cute little list to help you make sure you are prepared!
Red cabbage adds beautiful colors, flavors and nutrients. I did some research and found that red cabbage has vitamins A, C, K and B6. It has 4.5 times MORE antioxidants compared to green cabbage. It can also lower gut inflammation by approximately 22-40%. There was so much more information on the article, so I will link it HERE.
This dish can have an array of substitutes based on your protein preference and vegetable preference. I love me some versatility.
