Top Kitchen Faves
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer: The link takes you to the one I have, I just love the color! I got mine when Kitchen Aid was having a HUGE online sale (a large percentage off and free shipping) plus I used Rakuten which got me cash back. I saved hundreds. These mixers are incredible! If I wouldn't have had the deals, I would likely still be using my handheld beaters. I usually refuse to pay full price for anything! I use this mixer for:
- Bread dough
- Butter
- Cake and brownie batter
- Cookie dough
- Icing
- Shredding meat
Smooth Edge Can Opener: This was the most welcomed gift from my sweet Mother-In-Law. Before I got this I had so much anxiety opening cans. I would always call out "I am opening a can!" to make sure little fingers would stay away. I had a little one eating olives out of a can, so I bent the lid back down to keep his fingers away. He ended up putting his little thumb between the sharp edge of the can lid and the inside of the can. Long story short he ended up with stiches and we were both traumatized. This can opener is easy to use and eliminates all the worry when little fingers are searching around!
Can Strainer: I purchased this in part because of the story about the can opener! I used to open a can of tuna or chicken and then use the lid part to strain it. Now I am just loving it! Its just under $2 and has lasted me quite a long time!
Meat Thermometer: There is nothing worse than food poisoning. Well maybe kidney stones but lets not go there! I got this little ditty from Target and love that it folds up. I had one that didn't and it was awkward in the drawers. This one is perfect. It reads quickly and is really accurate.
Spinning Spice Rack: What do you call a spice rack that fits perfectly in your cupboard? Joy! The answer is JOY! I loathe digging through a cupboard to find a spice I need and I hate wasting space. Don't even get me started with the tiered spice shelves... 😂. Here is a little video of my set up. I absolutely love it!
Cast Iron Pan: People say magic doesn't really exist. and to that I ask if they have ever cooked with cast iron? The wonder and awe I have with each meal I cook in my cast iron is un-paralleled. It gives the PERFECT sear EVERY 👏 TIME👏. Steak seared in cast iron, then finished in the air fryer is perfection guaranteed. It can be used for everything AND if seasoned and maintained properly is non-stick!
Air Fryer: Are you in the mood for a few fresh baked cookies but its a billion degrees outside but if you start the oven your house will melt? Do you want to roast a whole chicken but if you do it in the oven it won't be perfectly crisp and juicy with out hiring a babysitter so you can sit monitor the chicken? k, me too. Ergo, air fryer. I use it all the time for:
- Roasting Chicken
- Pizza Rolls
- Egg Rolls
- Cookies
- Hot Dogs
- Hamburgers
- Grilled Cheese
- Jalapeño Poppers
- Mozzarella Sticks
- Salmon
- Halibut
- Chicken Breasts
- Pork Chops
- PIE- yes, PIE!
- French fries
- Tater Tots
- Little loaves of bread
